As a fan of the books, seeing this world realised on the big screen was amazing!
Coming to this as someone who loves the books, seeing some parts of the book missing is always disheartening, but to get so much of what I love still makes this a film I will watch again and again. Having it take me to Arrakis.
For anyone who grew up with these books, this is the adaptation we dared not hope for in film form.
Why not a 9 or a 10, it won’t touch the books and I would still prefer the attention to detail with the books that the TV series gave us. But for a film which can’t tell every part of the books, this is as close as they could get.
